Alexa (the teacher) has created a new incentive for students. It is called the "Summer Practice Challenge". There is a list of things for students to work on at home during the summer. Here are a few things on that list: practicing, completing pieces, completing worksheets/theory pages, writing a piece, and performing in front of your parents.
If a student completes the whole list by the end of July, he/she wins a few things. They win a certificate that gets pinned on the bulletin board, a ribbon at the end of the recital, and a 100 point prize from Alexa's prize boxes! And the first student to complete the challenge wins everything AND a 500 point prize!! Alexa's students are eager to start practicing at home and are ready for the competition.
