Alexa’s Piano Lessons Dazzles at the 49th Annual Ahwatukee Easter Parade

If you were at the 49th Annual Ahwatukee Easter Parade this year, there’s a good chance you caught a glimpse—and an earful—of the magic created by Alexa’s Piano Lessons. For the first time ever, our music school joined the parade with a vibrant, music-themed float that turned heads and captured hearts. It wasn’t just about flashy decorations—it was about real kids playing real music, live, right in the middle of the celebration.

With over 10,000 spectators lining the streets of Ahwatukee, our float stood out thanks to the creativity, effort, and musical talent of our students and community. This was more than a float—it was a full-blown performance on wheels.

A One-of-a-Kind DIY Music Float

Our float wasn’t pre-fabricated or store-bought—it was lovingly built from the ground up, DIY-style. With the help of our families and staff, we transformed a rented flatbed trailer into a rolling music stage. We carefully loaded a full-sized keyboard into the back of the trailer and created a spring-themed stage complete with flowers, pastel colors, banners, and signs featuring Alexa’s Piano Lessons.

This wasn’t just a visual experience—it was a live musical performance. The float featured six of our rising stars, all between the ages of 7 and 10, each with 1 to 3 years of piano lesson experience. Performing live in front of thousands of people isn’t easy, but our students rose to the occasion with poise, excitement, and plenty of music to share.

Meet Our Young Performers

We are incredibly proud of the talented young pianists who represented Alexa’s Piano Lessons in this year’s parade. These students brought energy, confidence, and musical talent to the streets of Ahwatukee:

Their performances were received with applause, smiles, and cheers from parade-goers of all ages. For many kids in the audience, it was their first time seeing someone their age play piano—and that’s exactly why we do what we do.

A Full Team Effort

While the performers were the stars of the show, they weren’t alone in making the parade a success. Other students from Alexa’s Piano Lessons joined in to help pass out candy, stickers, and flyers to the crowd.

It was a team effort that perfectly reflected our studio’s mission: to build a community of young musicians who grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration.
